Booking & Refund Policy

1. Overview
Juicy Request is a platform that connects event organizers with DJs. We facilitate booking arrangements but are not a party to the contract between organizers and DJs. This policy outlines the terms governing deposits, payments, refunds, and dispute resolution on our platform.
2. Booking Deposits
When an organizer accepts a DJ's quote, a deposit may be required to confirm the booking:
- Deposit amounts are set by the DJ in their quote (typically 25-50% of the total fee).
- Deposits are held securely until the event is completed and confirmed.
- A booking is only considered confirmed after the deposit is successfully paid.
- By paying a deposit, you acknowledge and accept all terms in this policy.
3. Payment Terms
All payments are processed through Stripe, our secure payment provider:
- Deposit Payment: Due upon accepting the DJ's quote to confirm the booking.
- Balance Payment: The remaining balance is due before the event date, as specified in the quote.
- Escrow Hold: All payments are held securely until the event is completed.
- Platform Fee: A 5% platform fee is deducted from payments to DJs.
4. Event Completion & Payout Release
Payments are released to DJs after the event is confirmed as completed:
- The organizer confirms the event was completed successfully through their dashboard.
- Once confirmed, funds are released to the DJ (minus platform fees).
- If no dispute is raised, funds are automatically released 6 hours after the event's scheduled end time.
5. Cancellation by Organizer
If an organizer needs to cancel a confirmed booking:
- Cancellation terms are set by the DJ in their quote and should be reviewed before accepting.
- Deposits may be non-refundable depending on the DJ's cancellation policy.
- Any refund is subject to the terms agreed upon in the accepted quote.
- Juicy Request does not guarantee refunds for organizer-initiated cancellations.
6. DJ No-Show Policy
If a DJ fails to appear at a confirmed event:
- The organizer may report the no-show through their dashboard after the scheduled event time.
- Reported no-shows are flagged and reviewed by our team.
- DJ payouts are automatically paused while the dispute is under review.
- If the no-show is confirmed, refund eligibility will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- DJs with confirmed no-shows may face account suspension or termination.
Important: Juicy Request investigates all no-show reports but does not guarantee refunds. Resolution outcomes depend on the specific circumstances and evidence provided.
7. Dispute Resolution
If issues arise with a booking:
- Either party may report a dispute through the platform within 6 hours of the event ending.
- Disputes are reviewed by our team, and payouts are paused during investigation.
- We may request evidence from both parties (messages, photos, contracts, etc.).
- Resolution options include: no action, partial refund consideration, or full refund consideration.
- Our decision is based on available evidence and platform policies.
Platform Role: Juicy Request facilitates dispute resolution but is not a legal arbitrator. Unresolved disputes may require external legal resolution between the parties.
8. Refund Considerations
Refunds are not guaranteed and are assessed on a case-by-case basis:
- Refund requests must be submitted through the dispute process.
- Evidence supporting the refund request should be provided.
- Processing time varies depending on the complexity of the case.
- Refunds, if approved, are returned to the original payment method.
- Platform fees may or may not be refundable depending on the circumstances.
9. DJ Accountability
DJs on our platform are expected to:
- Honor all confirmed bookings and communicate any issues promptly.
- Arrive on time and provide the services as agreed in the quote.
- Maintain professional conduct and communication.
- Complete payment setup (Stripe Connect) to receive payouts.
DJs who repeatedly fail to meet these expectations may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
10. Limitation of Liability
JUICY REQUEST IS A PLATFORM THAT CONNECTS ORGANIZERS AND DJS. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERFORMANCE, CONDUCT, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY DJ OR ORGANIZER. BY USING OUR PLATFORM, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ANY BOOKING ARRANGEMENTS ARE BETWEEN YOU AND THE OTHER PARTY. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE QUALITY OF SERVICES OR THE OUTCOME OF ANY BOOKING.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
